FME World Tour 2018 Kickoff & Contest Announcement
The FME World Tour 2018 is underway, with the Safe Software team hitting the road across North America all next week. Travel planning for all of this is so extensive we’ve even got Dmitri on the case:
#FMEWT is a huge logistical exercise. I am making a @SafeSoftware @fmecloud service with #FlightXML, Google timezone API, @LeafletJS, Slack and Twilio Connectors, to track all flights Safers take and send notifications about delays or cancellations. I promise an article about it pic.twitter.com/wm3NObCrxT

While many cities are sold out, some still have seats available, so check out the city nearest you at safe.com/worldtour.
What to Expect at the FME World Tour 2018
The FMEWT is your chance to dive into everything new and exciting in FME 2018.0, including live demos, tips and tricks, and opportunities for Q&A. We’ll share our favourite stories of how people around the world are using FME, and you’ll get to hear from (and network with) FME users in your city. Check out this blog for an overview of what to expect at each stop.
Contest: Travelling #FMEaircraft
Some of you might remember the travelling #fmecoin from FME World Tour 2016 (see also: #fmecoin contest in review for submission highlights and how it worked).
We’re having a similar contest this year. Every FMEWT attendee gets a customizable, solar-powered FME aircraft. (It doesn’t fly… but the propeller spins!) Send us a photo of it and FME Cloud will automatically add it to our contest map.

To submit your entry, either:
- Email a geotagged JPEG to contest@safe.com, and indicate the location in the subject line, or
- Tweet a photo to @SafeSoftware. Turn on the tweet location and use the #FMEaircraft hashtag.
Each tweet/email is an entry, and 5 people will win an FME Prize Pack. Good luck, and happy flying.
