FME (formally known as Feature Manipulation Engine in his email signature and in employee records) is the only manager that can effectively support all data types and any AI. With over 30 years of experience, he’s built a reputation for breaking down communication barriers, eliminating inefficiencies, and helping every team member work collaboratively.

AI Data

As the newest member of the data types workplace, AI Data sparks ideas and tests boundaries. Faced with a learning curve (like any new team member), extra guidance may be required. A fast learner who thrives on feedback, AI Data turns a simple prompt into a dozen possibilities, and then optimizes them too (with an extra finger or two).

Dirty Data

Meet Dirty Data, the office wild card. He may not make sense to others, but he adds a unique and interesting flavour to every situation. While it’s often said that there are no wrong ideas or questions, Dirty Data makes a compelling case for an exception. As he fills formal reports with emojis, neglects to mute on zoom, or cc’s just a few too many people, some may even call him the in-house QA, making errors quite apparent.

Legacy Data

Legacy Data is traditional and values the wisdom of the past. He’s the go-to for office lore and frequently reminisces about ‘the early days’. His fax number is still operational and his office shelves are filled with paper files, plus a floppy disk or two (or twenty). Find him by the water cooler, solving a Rubik’s cube or reminiscing on how things used to be done. Just don’t ask him to download your pdf or move to the cloud.

MetaData

MetaData is a contextual thinker, introspective, and always searching for the deeper meaning in project goals and objectives. During meetings, he’ll often wax philosophical: he sees connections others overlook and questions the “what” and “why” behind every brief, email, and check-in. With a poetic streak, he labels files like he’s naming artwork and can provide context for any task. You’ll find him sketching or journaling in his notebook, or reflecting on the relationship between structure and meaning.

Open Data

Did anyone take meeting notes? Open Data sure did. (You can find them on the Drive). Missed a meeting? Open Data will fill you in on all you need to know. Connecting departments, maintaining compliance, and fulfilling requirements…like it’s his day job.

Real Time Data

Real Time Data always has her finger on the pulse and is the go-to for the latest office developments. Adding ‘action’ to ‘items,’ and never one to use the ‘raise hand’ function in remote meetings, Real Time will share ideas as they come up, often when you least expect them. Thriving under pressure, Real Time shines when decisions need to be made on the fly.

Spatial Data

Spatial Data may not have the title, but everyone knows she’s the certified map queen, always plotting the smartest course. Having reported to FME since day one, she brings the bird’s-eye view. Whether she’s fine-tuning carpool routes or arranging desk layouts for peak collaboration, she brings clarity to any situation. In meetings, she’s sketching diagrams on the whiteboard or layering dashboards to reveal trends you didn’t even know were there. If a project needs direction, she’s already visualized the best path forward.

Structured Data

Structured Data is the team’s resident organizer: calm (as long as you don’t rename anything “final_v2_REAL_this_time”), methodical, and one to follow company policies to a T. Her emails are categorized, her spreadsheets are color-coded, and yes, she’s been known to issue a firm warning if anyone messes with her meeting agenda. If there’s a process to standardize or a workflow to clean up, she’s already halfway done.

Unstructured Data

Unstructured Data is free-spirited, unpredictable, and won’t be put into a box (or columns and rows). She’s the creativity in brainstorms and is the wearer of many hats. Need a hand? She’s already designed a graphic, recorded a video clip, and written a script. With 50+ tabs open on her desktop at any time, Unstructured Data is full of insight, just waiting to be understood.
