Safe Software’s Peak of Data and AI 2025 was the company’s largest conference ever, featuring expert-led sessions, inspiring keynotes, and major announcements that will change what’s possible with data and AI. Here’s what you might have missed during this three-day event in Seattle.
1. Product Unveiling: FME Realize
FME Realize is a new Augmented Reality (AR) solution designed with field workers in mind, such as city workers, utility workers, and site engineers. It allows users to interact with an organization’s data and digital twins from any iOS device. FME Realize lets you:
- Visualize 3D infrastructure assets in context, like water pipes and electrical networks
- Update and modify data in real-time based on on-site assessments
- Invoke AI agents to analyze and deliver insights on demand
This technology is expected to greatly enhance cross-team collaboration, accelerate decision-making, reduce time and effort, and enhance safety.
FME Realize is now available to FME Flow users.
2. Product Unveiling: FME Data Virtualization
FME Data Virtualization is a new capability for exposing secure APIs on top of any system or data source. It’s designed to facilitate seamless, governed access to enterprise data and systems. With this functionality, organizations can turn their data integration workflows into query-ready API endpoints, which enables applications and AI to interact with their enterprise data in real time. FME Data Virtualization lets you:
- Expose APIs on top of existing systems (no need to move or duplicate data)
- Enable AI platforms to securely interact with enterprise data
- Govern exactly which data gets shared and how, via filters, authentication, and permissions
- Empower teams to create APIs and apps without custom scripts or complex infrastructure
FME Data Virtualization is now available in beta to all FME Platform users.

The entrants were truly amazing, incorporating ChatGPT, live maps, and even AI-generated rock music. Winning teams were chosen by judges and a popular vote.
Check back—we’ll share the incredible projects that emerged from the hackathon in the next blog post!
7. The FME Lizard
We unveiled an enormous FME LEGO Lizard, crafted by the talented Sean Kenney! The sculpture happily participated in many photo ops and brought a lot of joy to the Lizard’s long-time fans.
It’s now found a permanent home in the Safe Software headquarters. If you find yourself at the Safe Software headquarters in Surrey BC, be sure to snap a photo with our most iconic new team member.
