FMEers, we know you’re doing amazing things with data, and we want to see it at the Peak of Data Integration 2025! FME would be an empty canvas without you, and our conferences wouldn’t be half as fun without your presentations.
1. Gain recognition and expand your professional network
Presenting at a tech conference is a fantastic way to establish your expertise. It increases your visibility within the data integration field, helping you stand out to your employer, prospective employers, or potential partners and clients. When you put yourself out there in a professional context, you never know what opportunities arise. Past presenters and attendees have made lasting connections and found new professional opportunities! Plus, your presentation will be uploaded to our presentation gallery (with your permission), which looks great on the resume.
2. Presentations can be short and sweet
We’re looking for 5-10 minute lightning talks and 25-minute full-length talks. Share a project, tips and tricks, insights learned, or any other ideas. Start by giving a bit of context and going over the problem you faced, and then explain how you solved it. Show us your workspace (or part of it) and spend a few minutes diving into how you did it. That’s it!
3. We are looking for presenters of all skill levels
If you’re wondering whether you’re qualified enough to present, the answer is yes! Attendees at our conferences have a variety of experience levels with FME, and they’re just as excited to watch a new FME user describe their first workspace as they are to watch an FME Certified Professional tackle a complex, industry-specific challenge.
4. There is no shortage of presentation ideas
Topics vary greatly! Just take a look through our presentation gallery to browse examples from past conferences. Here are 10 ideas to get you started:
- You automate an everyday task using FME Flow.
- You used a trending technology with FME, like AI/ML or augmented/virtual reality.
- You’re using FME to connect to the Internet of Things and/or process data in real time.
- You did something, anything, with XML. (Don will be overjoyed.)
- You’re pretty good at this whole FME thing, and you have tips and tricks to share.
- You created something unconventional, like a workspace that interacts with your coffee machine.
- You improved the quality, compliance, or security of your data with FME.
- You’re a student, teacher/prof, or researcher who has done something with FME.
- You used FME to aid humanitarian efforts or deliver on your nonprofit’s mission.
- You tackled a problem specific to your industry, such as creating a digital twin for an airport or creating a self-serve CAD submission portal for a utilities company.
5. Swag & a speaker discount
Our swag bags have forever been a highlight of FME conferences, and we’ve come a long way since the FME 2003 Denim Shirts. While the audience walks away inspired by your great talk, you’ll walk away with a special speaker appreciation gift. You’ll also be able to attend the conference at an exclusive speaker rate of $890 USD, which is even cheaper than the Super Early Bird rate.
We hope this list inspired you to apply to be a presenter at the Peak of Data Integration 2025! We can’t wait to see you in Seattle.
