The (FME) Circus is Coming to Town!

The FME World Tour 2014! In which Safe Software takes the FME show on the road, complete with amazing feats of format juggling and data transformation acrobatics. And possibly lunch.

There’s a world-famous troupe of performers based in Canada that re-invented the circus. If you’ve ever seen a Cirque du Soleil performance, you’ll probably agree that it is about as far from a dusty tent and some clowns in a car as it gets.

Now, Safe Software has a fair bit in common with Cirque du Soleil. We’re both Canadian, for starters.

They have charismatic ringmasters; we have Don Murray and Dale Lutz.

They have amazing acrobats; FME puts your data through amazing acrobatics.

They have talented clowns to captivate you and make you laugh; we have, well… a few of those too.

They have big shows in Las Vegas; we have a really big show coming up in June in Vancouver.

They have traveling troupes that take their performances from city to city; we have the FME World Tour 2014!

acrobatjuggler — Witness amazing workspace acrobatics, format juggling, and feats of data transformation!

Between April 3^rd and April 11^th, 2014, Safe’s troupes will be headed down the road throughout the US and Canada to bring their own flavor of entertainment and FME education to a town near you. And throughout April and May, they’ll be participating in an international series of events co-hosted by our partners across the globe.

If you’ve never attended one of these one-day events before, here’s an idea of what to expect. Stops on the North American leg of the World Tour include a look at what’s new and awesome in the just-released FME 2014, including FME Desktop, FME Server, and now FME Cloud. We’ll bring you idea-sparking stories of cool, interesting, and innovative ways FME is being put to work by users around the world. We’ll also have an audience-selected series of lightning talks that delve into specific areas of technical interest. And wherever possible, we include presentations from local users on what they’re doing with FME. And there will be lunch. Though probably not corn dogs and mini-donuts.

The international stops all provide an equally awesome level of education and fun, tailored for your local needs, wants, and challenges.

Submissions for user presentations are still open until February 5^th – we’d sure like to include yours at one of these stops!
